Chains sounded with the wind, and an eerie cold blew into the old abandoned building. A small old blue pitbull, scarred with fights, and his past, laid in the corner, weakend and afraid. The smell of blood filled the air, but not of him. Another small pitbull lay in the room, it's chest no longer heaved with life, and it's body stiffened. It's black hide cold.
The blue pit moved. Stirring life into the building. Tears fell from his eyes as he slowly made his way to the black pitbull. More of his past pushing into him.
Riley sat woke in a small building, smelling of blood, the blood of his sister. Who laid dead in the middle of the building. His tears fell as he saw. The mauled body, bloodied and stiff. Dead. The one true life he actually loved lay dead on the floor, an animal who had shared his past with him. Dead.
Riley howled, a mornful sound. Choked with sobs. Almost hollow. His head rested on the dead pitties back and his body curled around her. Knowing if her blood had still been shifters, she'd be alive. His own pain was dulled by the pain of loosing his sister. Raw skin and hole lined his body, the chain had dug into his neck and they had stabbed him with something. When he had run out of air all had died inside and he hadn't felt a thing. Hadn't seen his sisters face when she had died. He could only remember being warm and happy when he had thought he was safe, when he ahd thought he was back in his favorite enviroment. When he had thought he was going back to the pit.
Now laying here he did a double take on his life, it had been full of death, killing, and heartless murder for money to keep him and his sister alive, and when she had been hurt he had to take care of her also. Where she went he had to protect her, for she couldnt anymore. Life for him had been about doing things, bad things, for others. Nothing he did for himself.
Riley closed his eyes, his body quivering with fear, and pain, and rage. His eyes cold, hardened with his past and his furture.

Life sucks. It's just one of those things that you have to deal with everyday.
Jessica thought of that everyday. She thought that it was meant to be this way, with he parents dead and all, but she couldn't let it go.... She knew it was her fault they were dead. If she hadn't run off, they would still be alive instead of her. They just wanted her and that's all. Why they wanted her, she didn't have a single clue, but did that matter? She knew she had to run, she had to change her life, everything.
Jessica wondered into the huge wharehouse after sniffing the air. She changed to human form and walked cautiously in.
Jessica hadn't slept at all since the night of her parents' murder. It had been over a day. She felt like she was about to fall asleep, but she knew she couldn't. She knew she would have to keep searching until she found the murderers. Or until she was caught. She hunted the hunters.
Jessica walked further into the wharehouse, a knife in her pocket. She had it for protection. It was the only thing she had left of her father. The thing she had left of her mother was the hairclip that was placed in her hair now. She burned everything else, leaving nothing to trace.
Jessica had the same ripped and cut outfit as yesterday when she ran, but she looked even paler, and her eyes were darker, from both crying and sleep deprivation. She slowly reached for her knife as she walked towards the middle of the alley, seeing two dogs, one laying still, the other sitting aside.

Foot steps echoed in the air. Riley turned his canines showing. A snarl ripped from his chest as his flexed his muscles and shook his head from side to side. His vision blurred with tears for his fallen friend.
Without thinking he charged. His gait quick, choppy. In a few strides he leapt and connected with something. He couldn't tell if it were human or not and didn't care, his teeth ripped into whatever he war against. Eyes crazed to kill who ever had killed his sister and had tried to kill him too. The stab wounds in his side and chest started to burn as he thought about them, and he whined in pain and fell to the floor, his breathing again labored.
Slowly he rose and walked to his sisters side and stood over her, snarls ripping from his chest loud, deep and angered.

Jessica was met by a huge wall of fur. She felt a burning sensation in her neck and pushed what ever it was off of her. She gripped her neck.
"What the hell!" She shouted, her voice filled with pain, her eyes tearing as she doubled over in pain, on her side on the ground now. She gripped her neck tighter with each passing second and felt pain go through her enite body, not just her neck. A shifter's pain travels quickly, that's one disadvantage.
She screamed as she pain hit through her neck again.
She yelled at the animal again.
"What the hell?! Why are you even here?" She said, trying to stop the pain, but quickly, her world started to fade, her vision going black, finally being able to sleep, even if she was in pain the whole time, at least she knew she was still alive and not dead.

Riley's eyes widened as he realized who he had attacked, quickly he shifted. His body bubbling with heat and ran over to the girl. He held her up and took the knife from her hand, kicking it away. I'm so sorry! I didn't know who it was and... I was just attacked... He stumbled on what to tell her. Telling her the dead dog was his sister might not be the best ice breaker...
He tried to help her up, taking the shirt he had on and putting pressure on the bite mark on her neck, in a little while it would be healed enough to be left alone. I'm soo sorry, please don't be mad. Well, I would be, but still if I had known who it was I wouldn't have done that. His breathing grew rigid as his own cuts started to hurt. Her knife had cut his stomach when he had attacked her. It was now pouring blood, but not as bad as what he had done to her. I'm sorry. His voice got shallower, as black rimmed his eyes, fighting the urdge to pass out right there.

JEssica knew she only had seconds before she passed out, so she tried to hurry and talk.
"I'm n-not mad... I'll heal.. I-I always d-do..............." Then her head fell to the side, her breathing labored.
Jessica thought about how she would kill the men that killed her parents, but the thoughts were quickly drowned out by pain. Her neck swarmed with pain. She thought about how her parents were killed, how they were murdered, and how she would probably never tell anyone else. She thought about what the men's faces each looked like, each detail, each scar, each mark, everything. She would find them, and when she did, she would kill them. She swore to it over her life.

Riley nodded and shhed her, knowing she'd pass out soon. Thank you. Your safe in here. Riley smiled and let her head rest on the concrete for a second while he shifted again, the heat blazed in his cheast and spluttered almost unable to shift.
Holding all his energy he crawled to where the girl lay and let her head rest on his side and back while he laid his head on her shoulder by the bite mark, still holding enough pressure on it to hold the bleeding while it healed.
The knife mark in his chest was quickly taking everything out of him, the black rims in his vision were growing and retreating faster then he could keep up with, soon it all went black, he didn't know when but he woke up on his side, his cuts healed. In the day.
His body was tired, sore, and drained. Slolwy he stood, not so much worried enough for the girl, knowing she'd be healed by now. He walked to his sister and again shifted. The heat burned slowly, making every second of the transformation unberable. He cried out and insted of his usual smooth shift still on his feet, he was on the floor in pain.
His sisters corpse lay a few feet from him. Flys had begun to settle on the wounds. Another tear trickled from his face as his human hands grabbed the cold body of the one thing he could trust. Craddling the small dog he walked through the chains and into the woods around the building. The winds picked up, as in morning for the lost animal. The trees swayed and leaves floated down around him as he slowly dug a hole.
The two foot deep and tree foot long hole held his pitbull sisters body, a small tomb stone lay at the head, the words;
"Lila Jamen 1992-2010 Loved, Treasured by all"
engraved sloppily into it. A small pile of dandelions lay atop of it as he kneeled by it. Then slowly walked back to where he had last seen the girl, the night before, his bite mark embedded deeply into her neck. She had his shirt to. Riley snorted once more before walking under the chains and looking irritably around for the girl.

Jessica woke, her neck throbbing. She felt her head on the hard concrete floor, but she didn't mind. She actually rathered sleeping on hard surfaces. She was just weird like that.
She noticed her neck was bloddied and there was a piece of clothing pressed to it. She sat up, trying to keep pressure on her wound. She pulled the cloth from her neck and felt it. It was still open, but it was healing.. Slower than usual, and she knew why.
She looked around and spotted a dog. She recognised him.
"Where am I? What happened?" She asked, looking around, having no recall of what happened last night. Her memory was fuzzy beyond seeing something jump on her, that's all she could remember.
"I believe this is your shirt, no?" She asked the dog, knowing who it was, but not his name. She winced as she tried to get up, the pain still throbbing.
"And why does my neck hurt?" She asked, trying to get all the details.

Riley hesitated. Tell her? Yes, no? Grumbling to himself he looked at her and gently took the shirt from her hand and put his foot on the knife and kicked it far enough where he could get to it before she could. Last night, I got jumped, as a pitbull. The dog I was with was killed and I was afraid, when you walked in the smell of a metal blade made me think you were back to kill me, I thought you were a dude, a dude who had killed the black pibble. I attacked, then your knife stabbed me in the chest and I backed off. The wound on your neck is a bite mark. he pointed to his chest at the red mark, and that's my knife mark.
Riley watched her, his eye waiting to see what she did, any movement torwards the knife or something hard, he'd attack, and finish what he had done last night, and wouldn't feel any guilt about it.
Trust was not something he knew. Nor something he would know. Every inch of his being told him to never trust anyone. In his book this girl was a shifter, which held more power then a human, or a dog. Plus she had brought a weapon with her last night, she was a suspect in his book. Anything she did, he had an eye on.

She chuckled. "Well, one things for sure.. You do have one hell of a bite,"
She gripped her neck and squeezed it, the pain killing her at the moment. She shrugged it off and looked at him.
"I think I'd rather have you bite me like that a thousand times over than to have what happened the night we met happen again.." She said, referring to what happened with her parents. She then looked to the ground and at her knife.
"Now, can I have my knife back if I promise not to hurt you with it? If I try to, you can kill me quicker, seeing as how you are probably stronger, more agile, smarter, and you have less injuries," She pointed to her leg which still wasn't completely healed from the night her parents were killed. She still had her eye on him though, but she slowly reached for something in her pocket.
"Oh, and I believe this is yours, not mine..." She said and tossed something next to his feet. It was the stack of money he had thrown at her the night they were in the alley. SHe ahd no need for it where she was going and she didn't want ot think of dragging anything he touched along with her incase she was killed and them trying to track him. She shuddered at the thought.
